Maria asked: Be it surfing the Internet, playing video games or even just typing, a blue screen suddenly pulls up with this message:
“A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
Disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing.
Beginning dump of physical memory.”
…This is pretty much the gist of it. The computer technician suggested to have my computer reformatted but it didn’t work. It was reformatted multiple times already. We also tried replacing the hard disk, the programs ran more smoothly but still the blue screen would still pop up. And I think it got worse with the new hard disk.
Please help… what’s wrong with my computer?

Jagdish S asked: I have recently bought a new computer. But i am experencing certain problems. Every time I start the computer and run some “heavy” software (like a game or windows media player) the computer restarts. But when it is in idle, or am typing a letter it works fine.
Can anyone tell me where this problem lies so that may be able to correct it. I have a warranty on all the parts of the computer. Thanks,
Its a Celeron 2.6 GHz processor with 256 Mb RAM and a 816 motherboard.
Thanks.

particlestorm@sbcglobal.net asked: I just installed 2 Maxtor Hard Drives at about 750 GB each, and ever since, I’ve been randomly getting the Blue Screen of Death about some paging in page fault or whatever message it gives. Just wondering if anyone has run into this before or has any idea as to what it can be. Help would be appreciated!
Both are OneTouch III family external drives.

Alex V asked: I bought Medieval: Total War about 2 or 3 years ago and i still can’t play the campaign. The battles work, but everytime i want to play the campaign, after i select my faction and everything else and click play, at the load screen, it simply exits the game. First i thought it was the computer’s fault (even though it met the game’s requirements), but now i have a brand new computer which is much better and it still does the exact same thing. Then i thought it was the game’s fault, maybe something wrong with the CD’s, but my brother has this game too and it worked fine on his computer, and so i asked him if i can borrow his version of the game, and it still didn’t work on my computer, so it can’t be that either. I downloaded a patch for it and that didn’t make it work either. If anyone knows what could be wrong and how can i make it work i would appreciate it.

Jhastyn asked: This morning I was using my computer and it was working perfectly. After wards, I turned off my computer and left my house to go out somewhere. 5 hours later, I come home and went straight to my computer, turning it on. However, to my surprise, the monitor won’t turn on. I rebooted about 50 times as well as unplugged and replugged everything.
For the next 2 hours, I was experimenting by changing the monitor I had and a friend of mines came by and it turns out that both of them don’t work. I tried out my monitor on my friend’s computer and it worked, thus giving me the conclusion that it’s my computer’s fault…
Not my question is this: What caused my computer to act this way and is there a way to fix it?
I was looking inside my computer for a solution and I found that my RAM card was just sitting there, if that ever helps you.
