I have a DELL Windows XP computer and I just got an iPod Touch (2nd Gen) for my graduation. I plug in the iPod because when I click on it has the cable showing it being connected to itunes. Now, when I plug in the ipod cable into my computer, it’ll recognize it as a camera. First it recognizes it as an ipod, then a camera. When I’ll plug it into the usb again, the window will show up with what I can do – edit the photos or copy the photos onto the computer. Then it says there are no photos in device – 0 out of 21000. I can’t connect it to itunes because its not being known as an ipod. In the beginning I cant even register the ipod, as it should be doing when I hook it up. I want to know if its the ipod or the computer’s fault that this is happening, if it’s the computer I have to do it on someone else’s and if its the ipod i can exchange it.

Also, why is itunes saying my music store wont work. It says check your internet connection or try again later.
Also, when I downloaded itunes after it installed it asked if i wanted to install the newer version, but the person who was doing it for me x’d out of it.
It’s 8 GB.
