How do I get Spyware Protect 2009 alerts to stop from popping up on my computer?

I have read from previous entries that Spyware Protect 2009 is a scam and that you have to download Malwarelytes program to stop it, but I have downloaded that program and I still keep getting the spyware protect pop ups. They happen non stop and I can’t get them to go away. Any advice? Detail instructions would be great!

2. download & update free superantispyware (do not run):
3. re boot in safe mode & run them.

I had the same problem, but I didn’t want to download any programs, so I removed the files manually.
There’s instructions here as to how and what files to delete:
What this doesn’t say is to go into hosts and delete the spyware protect links under there.
The only thing I downloaded was Spyware Doctor. Even though it doesn’t delete the files if you have a trail version, it tells you where the malicious files are located so you can delete them yourself. Try running a scan, see what shows up, and just manually delete those.
