What is your opinion about the new Norton Spyware ?

I heard a lot of people complaining about that new Norton Spyware from the Yahoo toolbar. Should I reinstall the old Yahoo toolbar ?Or the new one is much better ?

    I avoid the yahoo toolbar entirely. It really doesn’t do anything for you, it’s just a way for them to get more advertisements on your screen. If you want a solid antispyware program try Ad-Aware from, or Spybot Search and Destroy at. Those are both free and effective.

    Norton sucks & their support is worse. Try ‘Counter Spy’ from SunBelt Software. Better product, great support, lower price.

    It works great and its easy to use if you read the manual. I use yahoo and I have Norton.

    Norton Ant-VIrus is one of the top of the line for viruses. IT works very well for me.

    from my experience Norton was a waste of money entirley and you are better off with mcafee.

    Peter Norton was a great man, and his software was also great back in the Windows 95 and older era, nowadays (speaking from a network security specialist) the product is still good but it tries to take complete control of you computer. If installed Norton is very difficult to uninstall, and it will interfere with computer performance and some programs may not work at all.

    I would recommend:

    download home edition, its free with registration.
