Is it possible to get viruses or spyware when using a PSP?

Is it possible to get viruses or spyware when I am browsing the internet on my PSP (using wifi from my PC) that can effect my PSP and/or my PC?
But if a virus or something is developed for the PSP, can the PC (that is used for internet connection on the PSP) be affected?

Yes It is possible but It’s very rare beacuse most viruses don’t work for PSP but some people make stuff like that…

Any kind of piece of hardware that is hooked up to a network is potentially vulnerable to viruses and spyware. However, someone has to create a virus specific to that piece of equipment. The only reason that there are so many viruses and such for Windows, is since everyone uses it. Since not many people own PSP you dont have to worry much. But the potential is still out there.

i have been on tons of websites, and have probably downloaded hundreds of videos, music, and pics and i never got a virus on my psp or pc.i dont think there is, but i guess there could be a virus somewhere.

first off, viruses attack software NOT hardware. As others have mentioned, someone has to specifically engineer a virus to attack the OS and software drivers / support that the PSP runs.
